What’s in Season: Turnip

Between the Bread on Jan 04 2016

As a root crop, Turnip grows best in cool weather. Turnips are great to eat at the start of winter and a perfect addition to a wholesome winter diet (this root is high in Vitamin C).

In January we will highlight Turnip in several aspects of the menu: a Chef’s Chicken of Pear & Turnip Stuffed Chicken, Cous Cous with Turnip & Greens, Honey & Sage Roasted Beets & Turnips and a Winter Turnip Salad with shredded raw turnip, lettuce, and dates. All hearty dishes to help you kickstart a healthy and happy 2016!
